| Like you said - the limiting factor is what is important. If the brakes can provide enough torque to lock up the wheels - then the tires are the limiting factor. I would also assume that since they're using such a HUGE rotor - smaller calipers make a bigger difference. This reasoning seems to work out in my head - since all they do is provide the pressure for the friction that creates the torque to slow down the wheel. Maybe its an oversimplification and wrong - but it seems to me that a larger size rotor needs less frictional force at the edge to provide the same amoung of stopping power. Thoughts?
